Open offices have gained popularity despite evidence that they reduce productivity, face-to-face collaboration, job satisfaction, and creativity. Offering private offices or allowing remote work can provide a huge incentive to join and remain at an organization while also helping to improve productivity. Also, let's not forget that folks might not want to work shoulder-to-shoulder during a global pandemic.
